In this time, it feels more important than ever to know our surroundings and be aware of our voices as well as the voices of those around us, who may not have the same opportunities to speak and be heard. As white individuals during the time of Black Lives Matter, it is essential to educate ourselves and recognize the problems our black community faces daily.
Understand Our History
To love one another, we must recognize and appreciate one another. It is our job to not only know the situation, but to understand the history behind it. Once we see the problem, and the centuries of experienced prejudice and injustice, we can develop a heart to approach and understand what it means to those of other cultures.

We have compiled our own “Guide to AntiRacism” where we found links to resources such as books for adults, young adults, and children, and ways to help speak out such as petitions and donations. We have also listed some videos, documentaries, and series that helps understand the root of what is taking place, and some general resource websites that have compiled their own helpful platforms for links.
